W is for Waterford

Waterford Precision Cycles is owend by Richard Schwinn, the last Schwinn still in the bike business.

The Schwinn name is still around, appearing on both bike-shop quality bikes and Wal-Mart level bikes. The brand has been sold several times since the firm declared bankruptcy around 1990 or so.

I'm re-reading "No Hands" which is the grim story of the downfall of Schwinn. It is also hard to beleive that this book is now worth $65!
